We weighed and measured all the ingredients together and then mixed them to a firm dough. Rather than use cookie cutters to form the shape of our men we used our hands, then we decorated them using two raisins for the eyes, a currant for the nose and three pebbles for buttons.
Then into the oven. We watched them grow big and fat and the smell coming from the oven made us all hungry. We made sure that we didn't open the oven door until they were ready - in case the gingerbread men jumped out and ran away.
The gingerbread men tasted really nice too.
